Can Valproate For Seizures Cause Changes In Behavior?

Hi.. Doctor My daughter is 8 yrs old. She is having mild scizure since May 2012 and taking Valparte 200 syr 2.5 ml in the morning & 5 ml in the evening. She is 25 Kg now. In between she has scizure once last year. we have never stopped the medicine any day. My question is that her behaviour are changing like she did stupid things, naughty bthings which was not seen before May 2012. she even sometimes told that I could contrl my self of doing wrong things. is this the effect of medicine or ? regards, Sushanta
