Can Vicodin And Xanax Be Taken Together?

Hi, My friend has cancer, and she has to go for a anal examination tomorrow. Doctor gave her Xanax 0.5, she wants to take a Vicodin, a pain pill, due to last time she was in excrutuating pain due during exam, she wants to be relaxed tomorrow. Is it ok to take these meds together to relax before examination?

No both of them are opioid medicines,and the combination of this can be highly dangerous and can lead to death. Either take one of them , not both of them together.
