Can Yaz Cause Prolonged Menstrual Flow?

I have just started taking a new oral contraceptive- YAZ - . It has been over a week now and im still menstruating. Is this normal? My period usually lasts about 5 days and i have taken other pills before and they have not made it last longer. Could it be that the pill is too strong for me?
