Can Zinconia Be Given To Children For Fever And Stomach Pain?

My 2.5 years child is being treated for fever and stomach pain from last 2 days. We have given pecef. Maftal spas and combiflam from today evening. Just now she has passed stool in semi solid condition. Is it advisable to use zinconia now.. Or should wait for some time.

Hi dear,

I wonder why you are giving Meftal spas and combiflam tablets together!!? These are not be taken together. For stomach pain, it is better to give plain paracetamol 3-4 times a day and give meftal spas(half tablet) once or twice a day only if the pain does not respond to paracetamol. Also, Pecef(cefpodoxime) is not a good choice for abdominal infections.

Definitely you can give Zinconia if loose stools continue. 20 mg to be given once daily for 2 weeks.
Kindly avoid self medicating children, as this can cause more harm than benefit. Give paracetamol and zinc, and consult a pediatrician if no relief in 2 days.
