Can Zomorph Be Replaced With Oramorph?

I have been taking Zomorph 10mg twice a day and also 10ml of Oramorph 2 or 3 times a day. Have been taking these for about 12 months now. I tried to taper off, but think I did it too quickly and had terrible withdrawal symptoms. What I would like to know is, can I replace the Zomorph with a little extra Oramorph, so that I can reduce the dosage slower. The Zomorph is 10mg sustained release capsule, so can t cut it up and take smaller dose. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, it is highly advisable to reduce the dose of this medicine gradually with little reducing in the weight of drug (Mg) then it will not cause any withdrawal of the drug, ideally it need to talk with doctor for best advise because your medical condition would be matter of concern, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
