Can A CPAP Machine Cause Shortness Of Breath And Burning Sensation In The Lungs?

I just had a chest Xray and here are the results : Findings: There are findings of COPD with hyperaeration and flattening of the hemidiaphragms. The heart and pulmonary vasculature appear within normal limits. The lungs are clear without focal infiltrates. No evidence for pleural effusion. My symptoms of shortness of breath and lung burning started 1 month after I started using a CPAP machine and inhaling the water vapor every night. I have been using the machine 4 months now and my lung issues and shortness of breath have gotten progressively worse. Could this be the cause of my lung issues? Thank you.

Hello,

As you explain the history this might be from the use probably not correct to the CPAP machine. Please discuss with your treating doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
