Can A Blood After Urination Be A Sign Of Bladder Cancer?

hi, I noticed blood after urinating, blood was not mixed with urine. It happened twice in two month period, no pain or other symptoms appears. I was diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma and had a total hysteroctomy 9 years ago, fully recovered after operation. I am worried that the blood after urinating may be a sign of bladder cancer, should I ask my GP for ultrasound or other tests?

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Yes blood after urination can be a sign of bladder cancer, but it is uncommon. But before that we have to consider other common causes of blood after urination as below
1.Most common is Urinary tract infection. It is common in females also. Urine examination would be done to confirm urinary tract infection.
2. Stones in the kidney, bladder or ureter can cause trauma to urinary tract causing bleeding after urination.
3.Trauma by Vigorous exercise

So you should visit a nephrologist.

Don't worry you would be fine
Hoping your query is solved
