Can A Body Temperature Of 39.1 During Pregnancy Harm The Baby?

Hello, I am 31 weeks pregnant and have a temperature of 39.1! Degrees Celsius. I woke up feeling sick and then all day at work have been getting chills and goosebumps although the building was warm. I have just taken 2 paracetamol and come to bed to rest. Can a temperature harm the baby?

Hello
No, a fever of 39.1 won't harm your baby but you need to keep up with the evaporative fluid loss from that so drink plenty of liquids for now.

That said, you may be coming down with the flu so if you aren't feeling better in a couple more days you need to have your doctor check you out
