Can A Bruised Arm Due To A Hit Lead To A Fracture?

My arm got hit (I was blocking a slamming door) 2 days ago and I now have a hard lump under the skin (feels like it is on the bone - Ulna) where my arm was hit. There is a small bruise but I bruise easily and I honestly should have bruised a lot worse. My arm is aching, the spot is a bit sore and my wrist feels weak. Do you think I fractured or broke the bone?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to blunt trauma. To rule out fracture I would suggest you to consult with orthopedic surgeon. He may procure X-ray arm. Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition. For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen. Restrict your movements. You may apply heparin ointment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
