Can A Bump On The Upper Lip Be Treated Through Over-the-counter Drugs?

I have a a bump on the outside upper lining of my lip. It is flesh colored with a hint of white. There is no pain or itching and I don t think it s a cold sore. I ve tried to squeeze it but no fluid comes out. It s been on my lip for over a week. I ve tried cold sore lip medication but that hasn t worked of course. I ve recently been wearing more lipstick and lip liner than usual. Do you know of any over the counter drugs that I can use to get rid of it?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are more likely suggestive of a condition called pyogenic granuloma. We have to rule out other causes like cancer sores also.

Consult a general surgeon and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
