Can A Carrier Person Show Symptoms Of Gonorrhea?

i have had the same partner for over a year. the 20th dec he showed symptoms of an STI, and tests show he has gonerrhea. i am awaiting for my results. i have no other partners for the past year. if he is only recently showing symtoms, would he have had to be exposed to someone with gonerrhea in the month previous? or could he have been a carrier and it flared up? thanks for your help.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
I have gone through your history regarding your partner having Gonorrhea.
The infection is transmitted from one person to another through vaginal, oral, or anal sex.
Men have a risk of getting the infection from a single act of vaginal intercourse with an infected woman.
As soon as you get your report both of you should start taking treatment.
Thank you.
