Can A Chest X-ray Help In Clearing The Chest Mucus?

my husband has lymphoma. He is doing well but has developed mucous and in his chest. He is having a lot of coughing whick is making him very weak. He has had chest x-rays whick are clear.Would a steroid shot be a good way to go for this problem? Do you have any suggestions.

Hello,

The mucus could be related to therapy he might have followed for lymphoma. Yes, steroid shot will help ease coughing, but he needs to get get the phlegm dissolved through mucolytics.

Increase fluids intake, and take more rest. Aerosol therapy with saline and steroids can help.
