Can A Contraceptive Implant Be Inserted While Having Hypothyroidism?

hi, i am 20 years old, i have hypothyroidism since I was 8...and now i would like to use this contrtaceptive implant in order to not get pregnant....but i do not know what are the negative effects that i could have because of my thyrod problem..could you help me please?

Hello,

Having hypothyroidism is no contraindication to use a contraceptive implant.Continue your thyroid replacement tablets regularly and go for it.

You might have some irregular bleeding in the first few days but then things would settle down soon.
