Can A Delayed Period Be Caused Due To Pregnancy Or Ipill Use?

Hi, I had my period on 6th december. Had sex on d 20th and used ipill within 24 hours. Had sex again on 22nd and started bleeding on 23rd. Normal period was supposed to start on the 4th of January and I am 2 days late. Pregnancy or delayed period due to ipill use?

Hello,
Since emergency pills contain excess hormone, usage creates imbalances in the hormonal system of the body and as such, you can see a withdrawal bleed as well as a delayed normal period by one or two weeks. If normal period is not attained within 10-14 days after it is due, expert help is needed and also investigations done. Please remember, use within the stipulated period after unprotected intercourse is very much safe. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
