Can A Delayed Period Caused After Intake Of Ipill Indicate Pregnancy?

doctor am 20 yrs old ...last 23rd i had unprotected sex with ma boyfriend
it was for the first time .. he ejaculated outside..but i had an i -pill after 40-42 hrs..
am not bleeding yet and my periods usually occurs on 29 th..
doctor can i b pregnant?
hw wil i confirm??

Hello,

You did unprotected sex on SAFE PERIOD (on 23rd- 6 days prior to period due date) and took I-pill after 40 hrs which will give around 85% protection against unwanted pregnancy. Your chance of pregnancy is EXTREMELY LOW or RARE.

Most women get withdrawal bleeding within 5-7 days due to effect of the pill. However, absence of bleeding doesn't mean INEFFECTIVENESS of pill.

Your period may be delayed for 1-2 weeks due to hormonal imbalance and mental stress. However, I suggest to undergo one home pregnancy test if your period is delayed more than 1 week.
