Can A Diabetic Patient Reduce The Morning Dose From 1 Gm To 500 Mg?

i am type 2 diebetic patient.my fasting suger was 139 &pp was224. iwas taking obimet sr 1000 now 15 days back dr advised me to take obimet sr 1000 both morning &eve. now fasting is 75 &110.along with obimet I am also taking onilyza 5mg
now my question is that can i reduced my mornig dose.from 1 gm to 500 mg

Hello,
If you are not having any hypoglycemic symptoms,then there is no need to decrease the dose or you can decrease the evening dose to 500 mg or alternatively you may start taking 850 mg twice a day,but you should talk to your doctor and then decide according yo his instructions.
