Can A Diabetic Patient Take Ugmentin, Urgendolp, T-pan And Ecosprin?
My dad has a foot injury, he's a diabetic, the doctors prescribed augmentin 625mg,urgendolp,t-pan40mg,ecosprin 150 mg, but we feel that after taking the medication his blood sugar levels have shot up (380mg/dl as compared to before medication - 220mg/dl) .. please advice if anything is wrong with the medication.
dear sir I can understand your concern. usually during infection there will be increased requirement of insulin and your sugars go up I suggest to meet your doc and consider insulin dose adjustment as insulin will help to fight better with infection. remember good sugar control is important along with antibiotics for quick control of infection regards Dr vamsi
