Can A Drug Addict Be Prescribed Lyrica, Xanax And Percocet?

My son is in rehab For pain killers such as Percocet Lyrica, and Xanax. The doctor is still prescribing him Lyrica even though he was misusing them to get high before he entered rehab. Does this sound like proper prescription for someone in recovery for addiction?
