Can A Gastric Stimulator Fail To Function Even After It Has Been Adjusted?
Can a gastric stimulator suddenly fail to manage symptoms even after it has been checked and adjusted? I have had one for 5 yrs and suddenly im as sick as i was before i had it implanted. The battery is strong, the times and amps have very recently been turned up.

It may be due to gastric scaring or repeated misplacement of stimulator or permanent damage to the gastric nerves or device problem etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
