Can A Hard Fall On Thighs Cause Low BP?

fell down hard thigh hit down first across form board, not bruised but sore and swollen, extremely painful, blood pressure fell low, 60 over 40 , almost causing me to completely pass out, Thank goodness I had help close by. Can a hard fall cause trauma and cause blood pressure to fall like that? after about an hour Blood pressure was ok.

Hello,

Severe pain can cause transient blackout and fall in blood pressure. It is a self-limiting transient condition and will return to normal by it own. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
