Can A Hard Hit On Head Cause Any Alarming Situation Afterwards?

About an hour ago I jumped and hit the top of my head against an iron pole. It didn't knock me out and I could multiply three digit numbers in my head right afterwards as well as answer basic questions about myself. However, I'm still feeling a little loopy, tired and above all worried. Not experiencing any severe pain, just a kind of soreness and pressure in my head. Please, let me know if any of this is alarming and potentially brain damaging.
