Can A Lady Get Pregnant With Single Cornual Blockage On Left Side?

Gud evening Sir/ Ma'am,

My name is Neetu and I am a nurse in AIIMS. I AM HAVING ONE QUERY REGARDING LEFT CORNUAL BLOCKAGE.

So, Please do reply that can a lady get pregnant with single cornual blockage on left side. On the right side there is no blockage. actually this report i came to know after undergoing HSG. There is the normal spillage on the right side of fallopion tube. Please also tell me about the prognosis for this problem.

Hi Ms. Neetu,
Pregnancy is still possible with only one tube as happens when tubal resection may have to be done in ruptured ectopic pregnancies. In your case, the prognosis is even better. In fact, a laparoscopic chromotubation should also be done under expert hands when removal of the block may also be possible. The fact that even if the existing cornual block can be removed, chances of tubal pregnancy do exist on that side owing to the impaired tubal motility, should not be ignored. Hope this helps.
