Can A Low Functioning Kidney Cause Frequent Diarrhea?
my mother has been experiencing frequent diarrhea for over 3 months. she went to her doctor and the doctor did a series of tests including a stool sample which came back negative. However her bad cholesterol was up and her good down and said that her kidney function has lowered. She should eat more fruits and vegetables. However If she does she spends even more time running to the bathroom then she is already. Can the diarrhea and kidney function decline be linked?
Hello dear. I understand your concern. Chronic frequent diarrhea cant be linked to low functioning of kidneys. There can be other causes of diarrhea like inflammatory bowel disease, tuberculosis, chronic infections etc. She requires evaluation for that. Thanks and regards Feel free to ask further
