Can A Low Grade Fever Cause A Fast Heart Rate In A 7 Years Old Girl ?

I can feel My 7 year old daughters heart beating when I touch her heart My daughter has illness induced asthma. For the past 2 days her heart is besting so hard I can see it and feel it beating hard and fast. She says she can hear it in her ears. She has had no asthma medication prior. ( since oct.) what could be causing this? Would a low grade fever produce this?

Hello,

I recommend that she consults a cardiologist. A low grade fever can increase the heart rate within certain limits.
