Can A Lump From An Ingrown Hair On The Thigh Be Treated?

Hey there. On my inner thigh close to my but area (right next to my underwear line) I have a super painful lump there. It s purpleish now (could be because i squeezed it). At first I thought it was just an ingrown hair but it s gotten much bigger and much much more painful. Every time I walk or sit I feel it. Should I wait it out or actually go to a doctor? What could this be?

Hello,

If the lump is less than 1 cm in size, you may try to use local warm compresses to help the body send more blood there and heal it spontaneously. You may use the warm compresses 3-4 times a day, 20 minutes each time (watch that you do not get burned).

If the lump is more than 1 cm in size or if the above treatment is not helping you feel better in 2-3 days or if you notice any worsening, please see your doctor.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Regards,
