Can A Malignant Tumor Inside The Bladder Be Completely Cured?

I have a 24 year old son,,,he has been diagnoised with a malignant tumor inside his bladder. They think the cancer has not invaded his bladder muscle wall. In 2 days a very good doctor, urologist, surgeon is going to do another cystoscope and try to remove the cancerous cells. My son seems so young to even being facing this surgery. I think he is very angry and scared---and I don t know how to help or what to say. He is a good young man who was excited about his future. What are his chances of the surgery being successful and cured. And will this always be on his mind and heart?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

It is very rare of have a malignant bladder tumor at the age of 24 years. The exact nature of tumor can be determined by surgical removal and examination under microscope. Management and prognosis will depend on the type of tumor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
