Can A Nasal Drip Cause Mucus Plug From Throat?
Hello. This morning I coughed up a mucus plug (for lack of a better term) from my throat. For many years I have had a problem swallowing - I always thought it was just post nasal drip. I immediately noticed that I could take a nice deep breath without coughing

Yes, nasal drip on inssipation can cause mucus plug in the throat.
I would suggest you to consult an ENT Surgeon to get an ENT Endoscopy, X-ray of the chest, CT scan of the sinuses to get a proper diagnosis.
You may be suffering from a chest infection down or sinusitis . Get a proper treatment till you get cured. It takes long enough time in such cases.
You have to avoid all foods , beverages and allergens which cause such a problem in your case.
