Can A Previous Abortion Be Traced By The Obstetrician Through A Transvaginal Scan?
i would like to ask if the previous abortion can be traced by the OB doctors through Transvaginal? or ultra sound? you are not going to tell the doctor that you had an abortion and you want to have a check up with the doctor because now u want to have a baby? are they going to know that you had an abortion before?
Hello Thanks for writing to us with your health concern. See, if the abortion was complete, it cannot be detected on a scan unless you tell the doctor. If it was incomplete, or you had complications such as infection, incomplete abortion etc, then some stigmata might be seen. Obviously, there is no point going to a doctor for any purpose unless you are truthful and reveal everything. You can always request for privacy in this matter. To answer your question, no, a previous abortion cannot be diagnosed on a scan. All the best Please feel free to discuss further.
