Can A "worm" Be In The Nasal Cavity?

Is it possible to have some type of "worm" in the nasal cavity? My son, 17 years old, sneezed and out came something that looked like a worm. At first I chuckled and laughed when he told me then looking at the actual "stuff" that came out.....it did look like a worm. Is this something I should take him the doctor for?
