Can A Root Canal Treatment Cause A Stroke In A Heart Patient?

My husband had a root canal on 12/12/16. He has had a heart attack in 1996 and 1991. He is now 72 years old. On 1/4/17 he had a major stroke. He's now in a rehab facility paralyzed on his left side. is it possible the root canal could have led to his stroke?

Hi..
Thanks for writing to us..

I am so sorry to hear about your husband gud will try my level best to resolve your query..

As per your complain Root Canal Treatment is not the cause for stroke in case of your husband as Stroke commonly occurs when there is reduced or interrupted blood supply to the brain either due to blocked arteries or due to hemorrhage..

As he already had heart attacks previously therefore stroke can be due to reduced blood supply to brain..

This can further be confirmed by an MRI SCAN to rule out the exact cause of stroke as it is not related to Root canal treatment...

Hope he gets well soon..

Regards..
