Can A Second Dose Of Prolia Cause Itchy Skin?

Hi - I took my 2nd shot of Prolia on 8.08.16. Nothing happen on the 1st shot. I started itching 2 weeks ago. Could that be a reaction and do you think it could be something in the air? I wasn t thinking about Prolia being the cause. My family doctor prescribed Triamcinolone Acetonide and Cadista Tablets. I didn t think about telling her about the Prolia shot. Hope that is not the cause. Thanks for your help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction.

I recommend doing the allergy tests to confirm the allergen.

Meanwhile, I suggest using antihistamines such as Cetirizine to treat the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
