Can A Single Loose Loop Around Neck Of The Fetus In Floating Position Cause Any Unseen Problem?
HI, i AM 30 YRS OLD& HAVE COMPLETED 38 WEEKKS OF PREGNANCY. THERE IS A SINGLE LOOSE LOOP AROUND NECK OF THE FOETUS & IT IS IN FLOATING POSITION. WILL THIS CREATE ANY COMPLICATIONS IN DELIVERY. WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF NORMAL DELIVERY IN THIS CASE. WILL I BE POST DUE AS BABY WEIGHT AT THIS STAGE IS 2.3 KG.
hi...... to address your concern , we find a single loop around the fetal neck many times in patients at the time of delivery that was not shown in ultrasound .As pregnancy advances and head gets fixed ... with continual fetal monitoring ... normal delivery takes place with the provision of c-section , anytime the signs of fetal compromise are seen. If head does not gets fixed.by term 40 weeks.. a review ultrasound to see if it a single loop/ double / no loop around the neck.. would help us decide further. also take care of fetal movements .. if less percieved see your Dr immediately and sleep more on left side. single loop around the neck is not a clear cut indication for a planned c section your baby weight is
