Can A Small Fistula Between The Bladder And Vagina Heal Itself?

Can a small (6 millimeters) fistula between my bladder and vagina heal itself? I have been wearing a indwelling catheter for 4 weeks now. The fistula is a complication from a total hysterectomy 7 weeks ago. I don t want to endure another surgery to repair this fistula.

Bad luck !! A fistula between the bladder and the vagina, vesico vaginal, repair is the work of a super specialist. Use of catheter for 12 weeks, can be tried and then reviewed. I am sure you will be lucky and recover fast. Continuous drainage is the only answer.
However, in most cases Surgery has to be done.
