Can A Stomach Virus Cause A Day Long Diarrhoea And Some Vomiting, Which Has Subsided Today?
I assume that I had a stomach virus yesterday. I threw up only twice but had diarrhea all day and it has continued to today. I have been able to keep all foods down today but am having severe pains in my upper stomach area and when I burp it will feel better for a few seconds them continue again.

From history it seems that you might be having acute gastro-enteritis.
Take anti-spasmodic tablet like Dicyclomine.
Take plenty of water and electrolytes to prevent dehydration.
Take light diet like curd, rice, buttermilk.
Ok and take care.
