Can A White Ring Around Penis Head After Unprotected Intercourse Be HIV?

Hello...! I had an unprotected sex about 4 months ago. Since than I have noticed some kind of infection on my pennies. Too much of irritation and whiteness under the foreskin. If I rub it than white skin goes off. I am washing my pennies since than regularly with water but still not getting any result. Now I really am worried if I am suffering from hiv or std. Pls help me with ur valuable suggestions..

This is Dr Amit. I can understand your concern very well
As per my opinion it looks like Thrush. Thrush is a yeast infection caused by a fungus called Candida albicans. In men, it usually affects the head of the penis – causing irritation, discharge and redness. The symptoms can be similar to those of a sexually transmitted infection (STI)
You can treat thrush without prescription medications. For thrush affecting your penis ask your chemist for clotrimazole cream or a tablet called fluconazole. It's possible for thrush to spread during sex but it's not an STI. However, both sexual partners may need thrush treatment to prevent re-infection. Re-infection from a female partner is common.
In Addition to the antifungal i will also advice you to avoid unprotected sex next time. Use barrier contraceptive (Condom). It prevents unwanted pregnancy as well as STI
