Can A Young Adult With Asperger’s Syndrome Support Them Self?

Can a young adult with Asperger’s support them self? I am asking because I know of a 26 yr old that still lives with his mother and she has to help him stay focused. As she gets older it is harder for her to help him. What happens in the future. He doesn t work and she isn t working either at this time. Is there some system out there to help them. A concerned person.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello

Yes there are some health institutions supporting these types of patients with Asperger's syndrome.
They can get helped by the same health proffesionals who are taking care of Autism patients (Autism centers)

Hope this helps.
