Can Allergy And Asthma Medications Cause Hair Loss Problem?

Can allergy and asthma mediacations cause hair loss in a teenage girl? My daughter used to have thick hair and over the last few years it has become thinner and thinner. It started about the time she started taking singular, Allegra, Flonase, and qvar. She also uses a rescue inhaler.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have doubt on asthma medication for hair loss . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons , but asthma medicines are not known to cause any hair loss , althoughthere are other medicines which can be blame for hair loss like blood pressure medicines and anti depressants . Sometimes fungal infection occur while on asthma medications which can further cause hair loss . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe medicine like fincepia , antifungal medicine and minoxidil spray.
