Hi , not understanding my hair loss I had cancer last year and had Chemo and radioglogy and now my hair is not coming back . I was just told last week that i have something called alopecia cicarrisate which my hair will never return. And on top of all that I had the Chem Hat to stay can anything be done about this/
1. It is an irreversible hair loss.
2. So the progression of disease can be stopped, but once hair follicle is lost nothing can be done.
3. Apply a Tacrolimus lotion on the affected region.
4. Other treatment options are oral steroid, Azathioprine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. As per your case history of cicatricial alopecia, my treatment advice is 1. Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
