Can Altered Bone Function Changes How Opiates Work?

Hi. My name is Naomi Zehr. I am an RPN from Canada doing research on the altered opiate reception related to bone metastasis. I was wondering what you have found in your experience. I have worked with two bone cancer patients who have developed a high intolerance to opiates. In addition, a patient who had used opiates for many years, developed narcotic sedation, after a C2 fracture.



Is it correct to believe that altered bone function changes how opiates work?
