Can An Autoimmune Disease Called Alopecia Universalis Lead To A Second Miscarriage?
My daughter just miscarried a 2nd time in about her 7/8th week. She does have an autoimmune disease called alopecia universalis. could that be a contributing cause of her difficulties? about 2 yrs, without hair. basically very healthy woman otherwise, she is 41 yrs. old She works at an executive level FT and compmutes daily. this 2nd miscarriage was being monitored by a doctor (IU?) Any suggestions? thank yougmail.com
It is possible that her autoimmune status played a role in her miscarriage. Some persons with one autoimmune condition may also have traits related to other autoimmune diseases as well. She may need to be assessed by a fertility specialist to determine if there is a specific underlying cause.
