Can An Episode Of Gout Recur Post A Staph Infection?
Thank you, can an episode of gout reoccur after a staph infection. I ve been on allopurinal for some time after a combined colchicine/allopurinal regime. I had a staph infection to my rt. lower leg last month and took bactrim/septra. Now my toe is very painful. I have 5 tablets/.05mg and took 1 tab qod. Would that be enough?

Gout doesn't happen after infection,but definitely reactive arthritis can happen after an active infection. Please take a good amount of anti-inflammatory medications.
