Can an ultrasound detect a lost tampoon? I cannot remember taking it out and have gone to the walk in clinic. Doctor checked but could not find anything. I tried numerous times searching myself and cannot find anything either. Does having an introverted uterus have an effect on searching as well?
1.There are chances to see any foreign body with in the vagina - if it is a tampoon it will be seen as a altered echo-texture or bulky nature. 2.It will seen as area with no vascularity, with evidence of collection surround to the object. 3.Position of lie of the uterus have no major role in order to the see the vaginal part - as chances are less to pass through the cervix to uterus and endmeyrial cavity. 4.Sugget to get a ultrasound pelvis and trans vaginal scan for better visualisation - that will help to pickup. 5.If you feel some thing inside - please visit gynaecologist, helps you to extract if it is there.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
