Can Ankle Fracture Surgery Cause Weight Loss In Legs?

Hi Doc,

I had a surgery for an ankle compound fracture on the 31st Dec 2010. A plate and screws was put in. My concern is that my foot is stiff, numb and swollen. Also my whole leg up to my thigh seems to have lost weight compared to the other. is it normal? why is my leg loosing weight
