Can Antibiotics Cause Vomiting And High Fever In Children?

my son who is 6 yrs old was just at the doctors yesterday for respiratory infection and still having to be treated for high fever 103 and now vomited . was given an antibiotic and was wanting to know could the antibiotic be cause the vomiting even though he has only had two doses . or is his symptoms worsening.

Hi,

The vomiting can be due to strong smell of syrup or due to hyper acidity if not given after food. Please try to give after feeding or meet her doctor for prescription - for acidity to be given along.
