Can Anxiety Or Depression Cause Nervous Feeling And Lip Trembling?

Hello, I am currently suffering depression and anxiety. Sometimes when I am feeling nervous my lips tremble and I feel its very noticeable, I can t even snap out of it or smile normally unless I have calmed down and feel relaxed. I feel people notice this and it makes me feel really embarrased. Wanted to ask if there is anything I can do to stop this? Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

It may be due to anxiety or depression that gave you a feeling of nervous and lips trembling.

You can take anti-anxiety medicines like tab.aplrazolam 0.5 mg twice daily for symptomatic relief and continue your other medications if you do take.

With sedative medications, you will feel better and relaxed.

Kindly consult physician for complete treatment if problem persists.

Regards,
