Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The cervico-vaginal s,ear reveals presence of normal cells of the cervico-vaginal tract- superficial, intermediate and normal cells of the endocervical cells.
The presence of neutrophils on the cervico-vaginal smear suggest presence of infection in the tract.
Infections are common in cervico-vaginal smears.
Your doctor has advised you to take anti-microbial treatment for the infection and then repeat the smear again after treatment of the infection.
Infection does not give a true picture of the normal cells of the cervico-vaginal tract, thus, repeat smear is required.

Thanks and take care
