Can Back Pain Be Pregnancy Symptom After Unprotected Sex?

I have been bleeding for 9 days, however its stopped after me and my partner had unprotected sex. I have had lower back pain and twinging in my right ovary earlier on today, its on and off and is not affected by my movement or position. Me and my OH have had intercourse incase we are ovulating. Does it sound as though I am? Is it possible? Just for the record, my periods were regular before I got pregnant and my body returned to normal after stopping the pill within a month.

Hello,
It is difficult to predict in the current scenario if you had ovulated or not. Since you did not mention how regular your periods are in the recent past and also the fact that you have had bleeding for 9 days suggests that you could perhaps be experiencing a hormone imbalance. Also, it is needed to locate the cause of the pain. I would suggest a trans-vaginal sonogram to exclude any ovarian/tubal pathology and if ovulation has occurred, it can also be observed by identifying any collapsed follicles. Hope this helps.
