Can Being Hurt In Chin And Throat Area Lead To Swelling Of Wind Pipes Making It Difficult To Breath?
I was kicked in the chin throat area tonight, I was not knocked out nor am I having any trouble breathing, but my throat is sore. My chin took most of the force. Any chance this could cause my wind pipes to swell up and interfer with breathing Thank You

Hello, Thanks for your query. I would say that sore throat which you are having is due to the injury, caused inflammation of the throat. I will advise that wind pipe is very sensitive and can easily injured with even a slight impact. I will advise to see your physician for complete evaluation & to make sure every thing fine. You should use anti-septic mouth wash in order to prevent any infection. As you have difficulty in breathing then rush to ER without any delay. In my opinion, going to see physician for examination to rule out any internal injury to the throat. Take hot liquids & soft diet. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
