Can Betnesol Be Taken During Pregnancy?

Hi
My wife is in last trimester of her pregnancy. Her due date is 17th December 2011. Since last few days she felt increased bumps in her tummy and felt pain near naval inside as if something is clinged to it. But its normal since last 2-3 days. Doctor has advised Betnesol next week. Are there any complications? Is it safe to take Betnesol during 31st week of pregnancy? Is it just a precautionary measure? Any long term effects of betnesol for baby?

Betnesol is needed in preterm labor.

Their are no complications except a chance of high blood pressure.
