Can Birth Control Cause Bleeding During Intercourse?

i have been on birth control for two months and have within the past week been experiencing bleeding during intercourse, its not heavy bleeding but well enough to notice. This problem has only happened since i have been on this birth control. But i didn't know if it would be the birth control causing this problem or should i be concerned it is a serious problem

Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. I have gone through your query and would like to offer you some suggestions. This post coital bleeding can more likely be due to a local cause like an infection in the cervix and/or vagina, erosion of the cervix, polyps of the cervix or endometrium and urinary tract infection. Use of oral contraceptives is less likely to cause such a symptom though coagulation defects are a possible adverse effect. Please get a proper clinical evaluation to detect the cause and plan further management. Hope this helps.
